Curriculum Overview

Technical Occupational Curriculum (TOC)


The Technical Occupational Curriculum (TOC) is offered to learners aged 14 and older who are unable to access or meet the pass requirements of the mainstream CAPS curriculum, or who have been progressed by age at some stage in their educational journey. The TOC leads to a National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 1 certificate, which is equivalent to Grade 9.
